VP, Asset Management, Rise Light & Power
Sean is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s asset management strategy, including overseeing operations of the Ravenswood Generating Station. Before joining Rise, he was Asset Manager at LS Power, where he managed assets in both PJM and NYISO, conducted acquisition due diligence, and optimized asset performance while working with diverse owners groups. Sean’s background in the power industry encompasses over 20 years managing operating assets and construction projects, including providing project control and oversight of all construction and commissioning activities. In a prior role as a Construction and Commission Manager, he directed completion of power uprate and optimization projects across a varied fleet of assets, including the on-time, on-budget completion of the world’s first P&W FT4000 SwitfPac Power Project. As a General Manager/Director of Operations, Sean was instrumental in transitioning assets from the utility generator model to the IPP market and increased revenues by dramatically improving asset reliability, providing ancillary services, and completing uprate projects. His vendor management and organizational development initiatives achieved significant reductions in variable and operating expenses.
Besides managing large-scale construction projects and new-build asset startups, Sean has extensive labor management, employee engagement, and long-term labor contract negotiation experience. His cultivation of positive, quality-driven cultures and partnerships has enhanced employee satisfaction and accomplished critical asset optimizations that increased safety and productivity.
